About The Event
Good evening ... please welcome on stage STRAY !
One of the most underrated guitarists of the modern era, Del Bromham is also a great front man and a prodigious song writer. The Encyclopedia of Popular Music rates him as highly as Clapton, Page and Beck. He’s celebrating over 50 years on the boards as he continue to lead Stray to critical acclaim.
Formed in West London, in 1969 STRAY released their self titled debut album in 1970.. .in November 2020 they released a live CD ‘Roll up, Roll up’ recorded at London’d famous 100 Club and 2022 sees the release of their 12th studio album.
STRAY are one of the great British hard rock bands and continue to impress with festival appearances at The Cambridge Rock Festival, Hard Rock Hell, The New Day Festival, The Giants Of Rock Festival in Minehead and The Great British Rock & Blues Festival in Skegness.
Del Bromham's STRAY mix scintillating guitar playing in a twin guitar format with original member Pete Dyer firmly back in the fold. Powerhouse drummer Karl Randall has occupied the position longer than any other. The addition of Pearl Handled Revolver's Simon Rinaldo on keys and Colin Kempster on bass drives the melodic anthemic songs such as "All in Your Mind" - covered by the multi million selling Iron Maiden with whom Stray have toured Europe. Indeed their tours with Rush and Kiss earned them a truly international reputation.
Their career retrospective on 6 CDs with Esoteric Records was voted into the top 25 of the Best Album re-releases of last year. There isn’t a better band on the circuit at the moment, as they pack power, melodies, great hooks & brilliant guitar playing into a energetic live show
