About The Event
**We are sorry but this event is now postponed until 2025. Ticket holders will be contacted by email.
Alice Armstrong is a singer-songwriter and entertainer from Surrey, UK, known for her impressive vocal range, unconventional lyrics, long red hair, light-sensitivity glasses and enigmatic stage presence. Alice’s voice and songs vary widely in emotional tone, reflecting a complex personal history.
Expect a soulful, dynamic, genre-busting performance packed with world class musicianship and wry British repartee. Her personal and provocative lyrical content is served with an enigmatic physical performance reminiscent of the likes of Janis Joplin, Tina Turner and Lizzo.
Alice has achieved a truly remarkable amount; she has strutted the stages of some the biggest rhythm & blues festivals in both the UK and mainland Europe, performed at legendary venues such as the 100 Club and Ronnie Scotts, reached the top 20 played lists of the Independent Blues Broadcasters Association and Blues Matters Magazine, has been nominated for four different categories in the UK Blues awards, as well as performing at the 2023 Blues awards ceremony. Â
So far in 2023, Alice has released three singles, ‘Speed Dial’, ‘Graveyard Shift’ and ‘Upbeat Baby’, performed and toured across Europe, recorded her first EP (to be released in late Summer, 2023) and is booked to play Joe Bonamassa’s prestigious Keeping the Blues Alive Mediterranean Cruise this August. An article in the March edition of ERB Magazine says this of Alice:Â
’She’s a born entertainer, with a voice very few people could rival. If you can get to one of her gigs, I would recommend going to hear what could easily be the voice of a generation‘.
